Sheeba - Sheeba is a 9 year old merle female with cropped ears. She was originally used as breeding stock. When her original owner went to dump her at a shelter, a good Samaritan took her in. It's been over a year now, and the new owner needs Sheeba to find a new home. Sheeba's food seems to disagree with her, and our evaluator observed several signs that point to food allergies (licking of front legs, diarrhea, etc). Her new owner is also working double shifts so Sheeba is left alone quite often. We're hoping to get her into a new home with different food, and clear up her issues (she's pooping in the house, possibly due to food allergies and long days). Sheeba is good with other dogs, cats and children. Sheeba came to MAGDRL in July 2008.
Update 7/24/08 - Sheeba is no longer pooping in the house, so whatever was going on has been addressed. She's still waiting patiently for her forever home or even a foster home. She's good with other dogs, cats and kids.
Update 11/13/08 - Sheeba has been in her foster home for quite some time now and is doing very well. She is living with a male Dane and they are best buddies. She is incontinent and has to be on Proin, but does very well and doesn’t have any accidents. She is an early riser and wakes up her foster mom to go out, but then settles in for another nap. She is a very sweet girl and her foster mom enjoys her a lot.
Update 3/14/09 – Sheeba is doing wonderful in her foster home. She is now living with Hunter, 9 year old male Dane, and has a new lease on life. She loves her foster brother now and they get along great. She is on Proin for incontinence, but other than that, is in good health. She sleeps a lot and enjoys being with her foster mom.
Update 3-1-10 - Sheeba continues to do well with her foster mom. She is having more incontinence problems, but continues to get around ok and loves spending time with her foster mom.
