Mickey is a 3 year old merle male with natural ears and a tail that was docked due to an infection. He is being put up for adoption because his family has a very small yard and with a young family they don't feel that they are able to give him the attention that he deserves. He has lived with a female littermate his whole life, a cat, young and older children. He is wonderful with children and other animals, he has a gentle disposition and can be timid when faced with authority. He is neutered, housebroken and crate trained. His family refers to his crate as "his house" and when you point to the crate and use the command he happily trots in and lays down. He is not aggressive or dominant at all you can take food and bones from him without any aggression. He only barks if he sees a stranger approaching the yard, no unnecessary yapping. Mostly, he is just a very loving dog who would love nothing more than to lick your face and crawl up on to your lap, go for a jog with you or play "tug of war" with his rope (which he always wins). He craves interaction with his family. All shots are current and up to date, he had a physical within the last 6 months and has no chronic health problems.
Maggie is a 3 year old female, she is white with merle patches and clear blue eyes. Maggie is hearing impaired and is only able to hear very loud noises. She has been with her litter mate (Mickey) since birth and is dependent on him for social cues. Maggie is eligible for adoption because her family does not have enough space for her to be happy and play. Her current family has several small children and they are not able to give her the attention she deserves. She is playful and outgoing to her family including big and small children as well as cats. She is wary of strangers and keeps her distance when getting to know a new human. Once she gets to know you she loves to lean on you and be at your side. She is spayed, housebroken and crate trained. Although she is hearing impaired Maggie is very intelligent and her family is working on using hand commands with her. She is trained with an invisible fence and never attempts to leave the yard. Her favorite things include wrestling playfully with her brother Mickey and burying bones in the yard. Maggie's rabies shot is up to date and she has no chronic health problems.
