Duke - Duke is a 1 year old mismarked mantle male with natural ears. If you want a close and loyal friend, Duke is a wonderful dog who was sent to the pound because his family couldn't train him and he was too boisterous for them. Despite this, he is a very trainable dog and has picked up his basic obedience commands in about a week. He has shown no aggression or dominance and he learns quickly what the house rules are if you will train him. He needs a little work on leash walking and not counter-surfing but he is improving. He still has some puppy energy and needs exercise, play and someone to give him attention but he loves everyone he meets (and people love him in return) and gets along with other dogs very well. This is not a dog who can be left in the backyard. He needs his people and will thank you for your efforts. Take good care of him and you'll have a real friend for your couch.
